Our Father's Solar Calendar by Enoch

Overview

Our Father in Heaven made appointed times that are called feast days that we are to celebrate. However our calendar has been changed a couple times, making it hard to determine when the feast days actually are. Our Father in Heaven’s feast day schedule is based on the solar calendar documented by Enoch, the book of Jubilees, and the Dead Sea Scrolls Temple Calendar.  Currently America, Europe and other countries use a corrupted calendar which is based on a topical year that uses the sun and the moon to identify some appointed times.  The ancients used a sidereal calendar and not a tropical calendar.

Therefore, the sun, moon and the stars are to be used for the following:
  1. ·         Signs
  2. ·         Season = Appointed Times
  3. ·         To distinguish the day from the night
  4. ·         To identify a year’s worth of time

About Enoch’s Solar Calendar

Enoch states in chapter 33 that Uriel, the Angel who is over the world, showed him the stars courses and their positions and he wrote them down.

And from thence I went to the ends of the earth and saw there great beasts, and each differed from the other; and (I saw) birds also differing in appearance and beauty and voice, the one differing from the other. And to the east of those beasts I saw the ends of the earth whereon the heaven rests, and the portals of the heaven open. And I saw how the stars of heaven come forth, and I counted the portals out of which they proceed, and wrote down all their outlets, of each individual star by itself, according to their number and their names, their courses and their positions, and their times and their months, as Uriel the holy angel who was with me showed me. He showed all things to me and wrote them down for me: also their names he wrote for me, and their laws and their companies.” Enoch 33:1-4

In the Book of Enoch, chapter 82, Enoch states that he documented the calendar and gave it to Methuselah.  Methuselah and his descendants were to deliver this calendar to all his future generations.  Enoch also states that you will be blessed by following the sun.

Blessed are all the righteous, blessed are all those who walk In the way of righteousness and sin not as the sinners, in the reckoning of all their days in which the sun traverses the heaven, entering into and departing from the portals for thirty days with the heads of thousands of the order of the stars, together with the four which are intercalated which divide the four portions of the year, which lead them and enter with them four days." Enoch 82:4-5

Enoch goes on to tell that the solar year is divided into four quarters of 91 days each.  91 days divided by 7 days in each week equals 13 weeks for each quarter as the Book of Jubilees states.  Reflected below are the four quarters or seasons of the year described by Enoch:

Enoch goes on to state the use of the calendar is for months, festivals (feast days), years and days:

"And the account thereof is accurate and the recorded reckoning thereof exact; for the luminaries, and months and festivals, and years and days, has Uriel shown and revealed to me, to whom the Lord of the whole creation of the world hath subjected the host of heaven. And he has power over night and day in the heaven to cause the light to give light to men -sun, moon, and stars, and all the powers of the heaven which revolve in their circular chariots." Enoch 82:7-9

Below is Enoch’s monthly calendar of 12 months each year:

Daniel’s Calendar Prophecy

Daniel prophesied the calendar would change and it did. The 4th Beast in Daniel changed our calendar.

He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.” Sep Daniel 7:25

Pope Gregory changed our calendar as follows:

The Gregorian calendar, also called the Western calendar and the Christian calendar, is internationally the most widely used civil calendar. It is named for Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in 1582.  The calendar was a refinement in 1582 to the Julian calendar amounting to a 0.002% correction in the length of the year. The motivation for the reform was to bring the date for the celebration of Easter to the time of the year in which the First Council of Nicaea had agreed upon in 325. Because the celebration of Easter was tied to the spring equinox, the Roman Catholic Church considered this steady drift in the date of Easter undesirable. The reform was adopted initially by the Catholic countries of Europe. Protestants and Eastern Orthodox countries continued to use the traditional Julian calendar and adopted the Gregorian reform after a time, for the sake of convenience in international trade. The last European country to adopt the reform was Greece, in 1923.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar

In Summary these calendar changes changed the following:

The Sidereal Day verses the Tropical Day

Noah’s descendants’ tracked time based upon a sidereal day not a tropical day.  The book of Enoch and book of Jubilees both state that the year is to be 364 days. The Dead Sea Scrolls calendar also reflected a 364 day year.

“And command thou the children of Israel that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts.”  Jubilees 6:32

On that day the night decreases and amounts to nine parts, and the day to nine parts, and the night is equal to the day and the year is exactly as to its days three hundred and sixty-four.” Enoch 72:32

Here are the definitions of each:

Sidereal Day

A measurement of time relative to the position of the stars and relating to a measurement of time relative to the point of the vernal equinox.  A sidereal day is approximately 23 hours, 56 minutes.  As shown on the Celtic Wheel of the Year below, the sun’s position within the constellation is used to determine time.

Topical Day

The Tropical Day is based on the Topical Year of 365.25 day.  A civil day is used that starts midnight: this is near the time of the lower culmination of the Sun on the central meridian of the time zone. Such a day may be referred to as a calendar day. A day is commonly divided into 24 hours of 60 minutes, with each minute composed of 60 seconds.

Difference

The time difference between a sidereal day and civil day is 24 hours.
·         The civil day is 4 minutes longer than a sidereal day.  4 minutes x 364 equals 1456 minutes a year.  1456 minutes divided by 60 minutes equals 24.26 hours.
·         The civil day is 4 minutes longer than a sidereal day.  4 minutes x 365 equals 1460 minutes a year.  1460 minutes divided by 60 minutes equals 24.33 hours.

Sidereal time keeping agrees with the Enoch, Jubilees and Celtic Wheel of the Year reflecting a year of 364 days.

The deck of cards was in use prior to the calendar changes and they reflect a year of 364 days, four seasons, and 13 weeks in each season just as Enoch and Jubilees stated.

Our Current Gregorian Calendars

Our current Gregorian calendar uses a tropical year based on universal time.  A tropical year is 365.25 days based on the fact that it takes that many days for the earth to orbit the sun and get back to its starting location.  Equinoxes and solstices are determined by where the earth is located in its orbit around the sun (as shown in the picture below).

All of our preprinted calendars reflect the equinoxes, solstices and moon phases based on Universal Time and not local time.  Universal Time is based on the prime Meridian being located in Greenwich, London.  Great Britain adopted Greenwich, London as the prime Meridian in 1848 and the United States followed in 1883.  Prior to this other prime Meridians were used including Washington DC and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The phases of the moon are always given on our calendars for Greenwich, London and not local time.  Here in the United States for example, our local full moons can be one to two days different than Greenwich.  There are many moon phase calculators on the internet that will show you your local full moon dates.

Our current calendars calculate the times of full moons and new moons differently than how Enoch explains.  On our current calendars calculation for the moon’s orbit repeats the same patterns every 19 years; however, Enoch and the Dead Sea Scrolls Temple calendar shows that the moon repeats it’s cycle every three years.

Ancient Solar Calendars

Reflected below is the ancient calendar wheel of the year that the descendants of Noah used to track time.  They all tracked the Equinoxes and Solstices which are used to determine the start of each season.  Some calendars, like the Celtic and Tewa calendars, also tracked the midpoint between each season which is called cross quarter days.  The Celtic calendar also tracked the sun’s position in each constellation; this is used to determine a sidereal day.  Notice that the circles are evenly divided into 13 weeks each and are in agreement with our seasons as stated by Enoch.

The Cross Quarter Dates are actually tracking the Bear Ursa Major Constellation for festival dates.

The Celtic Wheel of the year is organized just like Enoch’s calendar says it should be organized.  It has four equal quarters of the year representing the four seasons. It is tracking the sun and the stars as described by Enoch.

The Fourth Day & Fourth Gate

The sun, moon and stars were created on the fourth day; therefore in order to keep our Sabbath day the same as our Father in Heaven’s Sabbath day we must start the first day of the first month of the year on Wednesday which is the 4th day of the week. Plus this also keeps our seasons starting properly on the 4th day.  Most importantly this keeps our calendar in sync with the creation of the sun and moon which track time. Even though the calendar changed a couple of times the weekly cycle of seven days was never changed (more information below and here).  The importance of keeping the first day of the year on  Wednesday is further documented here.

And God made the two great lights, the greater light for regulating the day and the lesser light for regulating the night, the stars also.  And God placed them in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth, and to regulate day and night, and to divide between the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good.  And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.” Sep Gen 1:16-19

The sun rises in the morning from six different portals or gates in the east.  We see the sun rise in east and set in the west daily; however, we know that the spin of the earth is actually makes it appear that the sun is moving when it is actually the earth spinning.

And this is the first law of the luminaries: the luminary the Sun has its rising in the eastern portals of the heaven, and its setting in the western portals of the heaven. And I saw six portals in which the sun rises, and six portals in which the sun sets and the moon rises and sets in these portals, and the leaders of the stars and those whom they lead: six in the east and six in the west, and all following each other in accurately corresponding order: also many windows to the right and left of these portals.”  Enoch 72:2-4

On the spring and fall equinoxes the sun rises 90 degrees above the earth’s equator which is in the fourth gate and this always happens on the 3rd day of the week that we now call Tuesday.  On New Year’s Day which is also the first day of spring, the sun rises in the fourth gate for 30 days and then gradually continues north to the Tropic of Cancer.

In this way he rises in the first month in the great portal, which is the fourth [those six portals in the cast]. And in that fourth portal from which the sun rises in the first month are twelve window-openings, from which proceed a flame when they are opened in their season. When the sun rises in the heaven, he comes forth through that fourth portal thirty, mornings in succession, and sets accurately in the fourth portal in the west of the heaven. And during this period the day becomes daily longer and the night nightly shorter to the thirtieth morning.” Enoch 72:6-10

Below is my diagram showing how Enoch’s six gates work which looks very similar to the Celtic Wheel of the Year above.  The diagram below shows the sun’s direct rays are always between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn which are invisible lines on the earth. The circuit of the sun is always between these two lines.

Below is an ancient solar observatory in Peru to track time that shows how the circuit of the sun appears to us on earth.

Below in an ancient Inca observatory to track the sun in South America.

The Celtic Cross & Enoch’s Calendar

The Enoch calendar given to Noah and his descendants is based on the latitude of the earth and the sun’s course is between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.  The equator is the center point of the sun’s course.  Locations in the extreme north or south experience the season differently than those on the equator; therefore these extreme locations do not have equal seasons of 91 days each described in the book of Enoch and the book of Jubilees agrees stating 13 weeks for each season.

The circle on the Celtic cross represents the earth and the inner circle represents the sun’s direct impact of its rays shining on the earth between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.  The Sun reaches the observer's zenith when it is 90° above the horizon, and this only happens between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. So the sun’s tabernacle is between these two tropic lines and it where the sun runs its course.  The cross itself represents the meridian and the equator. If you place the cross on the equator the seasons are 91 days each like Enoch said.  There is a very ancient astronomical observatory in Ecuador called Monte Catequilla where the calculation is perfect and many believe this location is the true ‘middle of the world’.  The GPS location is 0°00'00.0"N 78°25'43.3"W.  Monte Catequilla has ancient alignments to the equinoxes and solstices.

Monte Catequilla is the true ‘middle of the earth’ for determining the equinoxes and solstices since it meet these requirements:  The equinoxes and solstices are on the 91st day of each quarter and fall on a Tuesday.  The sun was created on the fourth day of the week, which is now called Wednesday (Gen 1:16); therefore the 91st day of the first quarter would fall on a Tuesday (see calendar below & DSS calendar).  According to the Dead Sea Scroll Temple Calendar on the first day of the year (first day of spring), every third year, there must be a full moon and on March 20, 2019 there will be a full moon (DSS, lunar cycle 1)

For more information regarding using latitude for time tracking, please see this page about Noah’s festivals of the seasons.

Earth Centric Model

The book of Enoch and the bible tend to reflect the earth’s relationships to the sun, plants and stars using an earth centric model that is also called Geocentric.  There are many old diagrams showing that many Israelites in the past thought the center of the universe was earth and the sun and other stars rotated around the earth (see links below).  Below are a few examples showing the sun moves (I do not believe in a flat earth & I cannot be sure what orbits what).

And I saw the chambers of the sun and moon, whence they proceed and whither they come again, and their glorious return, and how one is superior to the other, and their stately orbit, and how they do not leave their orbit, and they add nothing to their orbit and they take nothing from it, and they keep faith with each other, in accordance with the oath by which they are bound together. And first the sun goes forth and traverses his path according to the commandment of the Lord of Spirits, and mighty is His name for ever and ever. And after that I saw the hidden and the visible path of the moon, and she accomplishes the course of her path in that place by day and by night-the one holding a position opposite to the other before the Lord of Spirits.” Enoch 41:5-7

The sun was risen upon the earth, when Lot entered into Segor.” Sep Gen 19:23

And he hanged the king of Gai on a gallows; and he remained on the tree till evening: and when the sun went down, Joshua gave charge, and they took down his body from the tree, and cast it into a pit, and they set over him a heap of stones until this day.” Sep Jos 8:29

Who commands the sun, and it rises not; and he seals up the stars.” Sep Job 9:7

In the sun he has set his tabernacle; and he comes forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber: he will exult as a giant to run his course. His going forth is from the extremity of heaven, and his circuit to the other end of heaven: and no one shall be hidden from his heat.” Sep Psa 19:5-6

Below is just one example of a drawing showing the sun orbiting the earth.

This verse from the book of Enoch proves that the book of Enoch is written from the view point of what we see standing on earth since it states that the sun and moon are both the same size.  During a solar eclipse we do see that the sun and moon are the same size when the moon completely covers the sun.

And this is the law and the course of the sun, and his return as often as he returns sixty times and rises, i.e. the great luminary which is named the sun, for ever and ever. And that which (thus) rises is the great luminary, and is so named according to its appearance, according as the Lord commanded. As he rises, so he sets and decreases not, and rests not, but runs day and night, and his light is sevenfold brighter than that of the moon; but as regards size they are both equal.Enoch 72:36-37

Just another interesting fact is that the earth was created on day one; therefore it was made without the requirement of having a sun to orbit.  The sun and moon were not created until the fourth day.  We are also told on day one of creation that light was also created; therefore, there was light prior to the creation of the sun.

In the beginning God made the heaven and the earth. But the earth was unsightly and unfurnished, and darkness was over the deep, and the Spirit of God moved over the water. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good, and God divided between the light and the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night, and there was evening and there was morning, the first day.” Sep Gen 1:1-5

The Revelation to John also shows the sun and moon will not be required when Jesus returns:

And I saw no temple therein. For the Lord God Almighty is the temple thereof, and the Lamb. And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it. For the glory of God hath enlightened it, and the Lamb is the lamp thereof.” DR Rev 21:22-23

And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten them, and they shall reign for ever and ever.” DR Rev 22:5

Enoch’s Calendar with Feast Days

Reflected below is our Father's calendar, as stated by Enoch for  the year 2020 showing the days, months, seasons, and feast days.

To see a PDF version of Enoch’s calendar, see these links:

The Day

Currently there is controversy as to when the day or new date on the calendar begins. Some Christians believe our Father reckons his days dawn to dawn, some think it is evening to evening and some believe it is noon to noon.  I'm providing these diagrams so that you can decide your self when our Father reckons his days.

:

Reckoning of Days by Belief

These are the different, starts of the new calendar day, being discussed:
  • Hebrew Hour 0, dawn to dawn starts new calendar date
  • Hebrew Hour 6, noon to noon starts new calendar date
  • Hebrew Hour 12, evening to evening starts new calendar date
My calendars start the day at Hebrew Hour 0, this page explains why.

The Reckoning of Time
The Voice of God Rocks
Division of the Day, The Solar Hour

I believe the true start of day is in the morning when the sun is just starting to rise at dawn.  At dawn is when you can identify the age of the Mazzaroth.  So I think that the new day, new year, and new age all start at the same time.

When our Father provided us our instruction for observing HIS feast days he uses the word ‘day’; therefore our Father is reckoning our calendar by ‘day’ and not by ‘night’. The word ‘date’ is not in our bibles, the word ‘day’ is used instead.  For example, our Father told the Israelites to observe the Passover, on the 14th ‘day’ even though the activity was to be performed at even which is in the evening about 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Speak, and let the children of Israel keep the passover in its season. On the fourteenth day of the first month at even, thou shalt keep it in its season; thou shalt keep it according to its law, and according to its ordinance.” Sep Num 9:2-3

I start my day in the morning, as the sun is rising, just like our Father shows he did in Genesis chapter one.  HE says that the morning is when the new day starts.  (the time between evening and morning is night time, he did all his work during the day and finished his work before evening time) I explain this fact in full in this page.

The Week

The week is to be an everlasting cycle of seven starting with the creation of the sun.  The creation of the sun was also the creation of time since we use a solar calendar.  Therefore the first day of the first month must occur on the 4th day of our week which is Wednesday.  I realize that the Old Testament did not have named days of the week except for the Sabbath Day.  The New Testament did have named days of the week as shown below.  It is important that this cycle of seven is not broken.  When we start the first day of the first month on Wednesday that keeps our Sabbath day as Saturday every year.  Saturday is the seventh day.

To see more proof that the everlasting cycle of seven has not been broken, please see this page

Our current Weekday names were named after planets using the earth centric model as shown in the seven pointed star below.  For more information about this, please see this page.

The Month

The Hebrews used the months based on Enoch’s calendar.  It is the only way to ensure all of Our Father's laws are followed for the Sabbath day and all the Feast Days. Enoch divided the Solar year into 12 thirty days months plus one day each quarter the solstices and equinoxes.

The definition of the word ‘month’ from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/month
1. Also called calendar month. any of the twelve parts, as January or February, into which the calendar year is divided.
2. the time from any day of one calendar month to the corresponding day of the next.
3. a period of four weeks or 30 days.
4. Also called solar month. one-twelfth of a solar or tropical year.
5. Also called lunar month. the period of a complete revolution of the moon around the earth, as the period between successive new moons (synodic month) equal to 29.531 days, or the period between successive conjunctions with a star (sidereal month) equal to 27.322 days, or the period between successive perigees (anomalistic month) equal to 27.555 days, or the period between successive similar nodes (nodical month or draconic month) equal to 27.212 days.

The original Hebrew months and days of the week were not named, they were numbered only.    This table below shows the solar month names that were used in the bible after the laws of Moses.

For more information about the month names and their meanings, please see this page.

Our bibles have several mistranslations in them and one major mistranslation is where the English words ‘new moon’ are inserted instead of the words ‘new month’; therefore making it appear that the biblical months are lunar.  However, when we go back to the original languages it is easy to see that they state ‘new month’ and not ‘new moon’.

For more information about the new month, please see this page.

The New Year

Based on Enoch’s writings, the year was a solar year that began in the Spring.  (Enoch 82:15, see above)

Exodus 12:1 confirms the start of the year by telling us that the New Year started in Abib, the same month as Passover.

Exodus 12:1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, 2 "This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. 3 Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers 'houses, a lamb for a household. [scripture goes on to give instruction for the Passover feast]

Deu 16:1 Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

Therefore, the New Year starts on the Wednesday the day after the spring equinox.  It is interesting to note that the signs of the Zodiac start with Aries on March 21st each year.  The Zodiac is referred to as the Mazzaroth in the bible.  For more information about the Mazzaroth which relates to the Israelite camp in Numbers 2 and the New Jerusalem in Revelations, see this page.

The tropical spring equinox is when the sun appears to cross the celestial equator (see picture below). The spring equinox can be as early as March 19 or as late as March 21st (especially if a leap year is involved).  On this date, day and night are of equal time.  Actually year is the length of time the sun takes to travel around the earth and return to the position where the sun reaches celestial equator again.

The picture below shows the sun, from the earth’s perspective, on the celestial equator at the exact time of the spring equinox.

The ancient used a sidereal year (not a tropical year) though which is 364 days.  I have an overview in the middle of this page.

For more information on the yearly circuit of the Sun as Enoch described it, click here.

A way to determine your calendar is correct is by comparing the new moon and full moon dates to the Dead Sea Scroll Temple Calendar lunar cycles.  The Dead Sea Scrolls reflect there were three lunar cycles as follows:

1.       Lunar Cycle 1:  Full moon on the first day of the month which should occur on Wednesday.  The first new moon should occur on Friday the 17th day of the first solar month.

2.       Lunar Cycle 2:  The first new moon should occur on Tuesday the 7th day of the first solar month.   The first full moon should be on Monday the 20th of the first solar month.

3.       Lunar Cycle 3:  The first full moon is on Friday the 10th day of the first solar month.  The first new moon is on Monday the 27th day of the first solar month.

The first day of the New Year should begin on Wednesday and then the moon should follow one of the cycles above.  For more information on the lunar cycles, please see this page.

The Mazzaroth & the Great Year

The Mazzaroth (Zodiac) circles the earth counter clockwise very slowly and makes a full circle around the earth every 25,920 solar years. This full circle of 25,920 years is called the Great Year.  The sun rises, in the current age of the Mazzaroth, on the spring equinox.  Currently there are lots of arguments as to whether we are now in the Age of Pisces or Aquarius.  Back in 1922 the constellation boundaries were changed to incorporate all nations’ views on where the boundaries should be, therefore, our Christian boundaries were replaced.  To see a larger version of the picture below, click here.

The process of the Mazzaroth slowly rotating around the sun causes the sun to start rising in a different constellation of the Mazzaroth over time at the spring equinox.  Today the top of Aquarius’ vase is touching the celestial equator at the same time the sun is on the celestial equator – meaning we have researched the Age of Aquarius.  In other words, the equator has moved away from the constellation lines in Pisces and now it touching the constellation lines in Aquarius’s vase.  See this picture:

For more information regarding the Mazzaroth and the Great Year, see this page.

  4. Beautiful!! Thank you. On a truth journey currently. Yeshua’s last supper was during Passover so the Gregorian calendar teaching His resurrection is this coming Sunday 3-31 does not add up! Now I understand the entire calendar change was based around “Easter.” Big ah ha! Moment. Thank you Ruach for leading me here. And thank you taking your time to explain all of this. Many blessings to you!
