Overview
The ancient Israelites held the first Passover feast by
scarifying a lamb in the evening, then roasting it and then eating it about
midnight; therefore it was an all-night event.
They were a wake safety eating inside their homes with the lamb’s blood
on their door posts and lintel while our Father in Heaven killed all the first
born of the Egyptians.
The first born of
the descendants of Jacob Israel lives were spared and
our Father in Heaven took them for HIS possession.
The Pharaoh gave the Israelites their freedom
to leave before the dawn of Unleavened bread and the Israelites left Ramesses
Egypt on the date of Unleavened Bread.
After careful study
of the spring feasts I do not think these feasts were fulfilled entirely and
the full fulfillment is yet to come when HIS people will be fully dealt with
according to the laws of Moses. The final
fulfillment will occur at the spring and fall feasts. Christ was the Passover lamb and did fulfill
the laws that he planned to fulfill when he was here.
“For as
the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so
shall be the coming of the Son of man.”

Passover
Jacob Israel’s descendant lived in Egypt for 430 years and
eventually found themselves in bondage to the Egyptians Pharaoh. Our Father in Heaven brought them plagues 9
times; however, the Pharaoh would still not let them Israelites leave. So our Father in Heaven gave the Israelites
the laws for the Passover and Unleavened Bread feasts that would the plan for
obtaining the Israelites salvation. This
would give them the freedom to worship their Father in Heaven.
As part of their Passover dinner they were to eat unleavened
bread. Below is the definition of leaven
from my 1913 Webster’s dictionary.
Leviticus chapter two explains the laws for grain offerings
and states that all grain offerings must have salt in them:
“And
every gift of your sacrifice shall be seasoned with salt; omit not the salt of
the covenant of the Lord from your sacrifices: on every gift of yours ye shall
offer salt to the Lord your God.” Sep Lev 2:13
The First Passover
The first Passover feast was in c. 1408 BC when our Father
in Heaven took vengeance against the Egyptians and killed all of their first
born children and livestock. The
children of Jacob Israel were saved since they were instructed to put the blood
of the lamb on their side posts of their doors and on the lentil of their
doors. The blood around their door was a
sign that they were descendants of Jacob Israel; therefore, our Father in Heaven
would pass over their homes and not kill their first born children and
livestock.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, On the
tenth of
this month let them take each man a lamb according to the houses of
their families, every man a lamb for his household. And if they be few in a
household, so that there are not enough for the lamb, he shall take with
himself his neighbour that lives near to him, --as to the number of souls,
every one according to that which suffices him shall make a reckoning for the
lamb. It shall be to you a lamb unblemished, a male of a year old: ye shall
take it of the lambs and the kids. And it shall be kept by you till the
fourteenth of this month, and all the multitude of the congregation of the children of
Israel shall kill it toward evening. And they shall take of the
blood, and shall put it on the two door-posts, and on the lintel, in the
houses in which soever they shall eat them.
And they shall eat the flesh in this night roast with fire,
and they shall eat unleavened bread with bitter herbs. Ye shall not eat of it
raw nor sodden in water, but only roast with fire, the head with the feet and the
appurtenances. Nothing shall be left of it till the morning, and a bone of it ye
shall not break; but that which is left of it till the morning ye
shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it: your loins girded, and your
sandals on your feet, and your staves in your hands, and ye shall eat it in
haste. It is a passover to the Lord. and I will go throughout the land of Egypt
in that night, and will smite every first-born in the land of Egypt both man and
beast, and on all the gods of Egypt will I execute vengeance: I am
the Lord. And the blood shall be for a sign to you on the houses in which ye
are, and I will see the blood, and will protect you, and there
shall not be on you the plague of destruction, when I smite in the land of
Egypt. And
this day shall be to you a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord
through all your generations; ye shall keep it a feast for a perpetual
ordinance.” Sep Exo 12:3-14
The Israelites were instructed to put the blood of the lamb
around their doors and then stay inside their homes until morning. They were required to stay indoors for their
safety since our Father in Heaven would be passing over the homes with the
blood on the doors only.
“And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and having dipped it into some of
the blood that is by the door, ye shall touch the lintel, and shall put it upon
both door-posts, even of the blood which is by the door; but ye shall not go
out every one from the door of his house till the morning. And the
Lord shall pass by to smite the Egyptians, and shall see the blood upon the
lintel, and upon both the door-posts; and the Lord shall pass by the door, and shall not
suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to smite you.” Sep Exo
12:22-23
Our Father in Heaven gave them further instructions saying
that strangers of the children of Israel were not to eat the Passover
feast. Everyone that eats the Passover
feast must be circumcised which is a
sign they are keeping the Abrahamic covenant and that they are considered a
clean person. They were to stay in their
house to eat this dinner and not break one bone of the lambs they sacrificed.
“
And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, This is the law of the passover: no stranger [αλλογενής (allogenís) -alien, foreigner] shall eat of it. And every slave
or servant bought with money--him thou shalt circumcise, and then shall he
eat of it. A sojourner or hireling shall not eat of it. In one house shall it
be eaten, and ye shall not carry of the flesh out from the house; and a bone of it ye
shall not break. All the congregation [σῠνᾰγωγή(sunagōgḗ), gathering, meeting, assembly] of the children of Israel shall
keep it. And if any proselyte shall come to you to keep the passover to the
Lord, thou shalt circumcise every male of him, and then shall he approach to
sacrifice it, and he shall be even as the original inhabitant of the land; no
uncircumcised person shall eat of it.” Sep Exo 12:43-48
First Passover Timeline
To summarize the events of the first Passover, here is a
timeline of the events:
Note:
Passover is
usually now the last week of March.
The sun sets
about 7:30pm on that day.
They were to
kill the lamb before dusk.
Below are instructions for roasting a lamb over an open fire;
however I do understand that they must have had a way to roast whole lambs
indoors since they were instructed to not go outside:
Passover in the Wilderness
The Children of Israel continued to keep the Passover while
they were living in the wilderness. Our
Father in Heaven instructed the Levites (priests) to keep the Passover Feast:
“These are the feasts to the Lord, holy convocations, which ye shall
call in their seasons. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between
the evening times is the Lord’s passover.” Lev 23:4-5
In the second year in the, of the children of Israel living
in the wilderness of Sina, our Father in Heaven told them to keep the Passover. The time of day they were to keep the
Passover was when the sun was going towards the west or evening on the 14th
day of the 1st Month.
“
And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina in the second
year after they had gone forth from the land of Egypt, in the first month,
saying, Speak, and let the children of Israel keep the
passover in its season. On the fourteenth day of the first month at [ προς (pros),towards] even [ἑσπέρα(hespéra), evening, west ], thou shalt keep it in its season; thou
shalt keep
it according to its law, and according to its ordinance. And Moses ordered the
children of Israel to sacrifice the passover, on the fourteenth day of the
first month in the wilderness of Sina, as the Lord appointed Moses,
so the children of Israel did. And there came men who were unclean by reason of
a dead body, and they were not able to keep the passover on that day; and they
came before Moses and Aaron on that day. And those men said to Moses, We are unclean
by reason of the dead body of a man: shall we therefore fail to
offer the gift to the Lord in its season in the midst of the children of
Israel? And Moses said to them, stand there, and I will hear what charge the
Lord will give concerning you. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to
the children of Israel, saying, Whatever man shall be unclean by reason of a dead body,
or on a journey
far off, among you, or among your posterity; he shall then keep the
passover to the Lord, in the second month, on the fourteenth day; in
the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall
they eat it. They shall not leave of it until the morrow, and they shall not
break a bone of it; they shall sacrifice it according to the
ordinance of the passover. And whatsoever man shall be clean, and is not far off on a
journey, and shall fail to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut
off from his people, because he has not offered the gift to the Lord
in its season: that man shall bear his iniquity. And if there should come to
you a stranger in your land, and should keep the passover to the Lord, he shall
keep it according to the law of the passover and according to its ordinance:
there shall be one law for you, both for the stranger, and for the native of
the land.” Sep Num 9:1-14
Above the Israelites were told that they must be considered
clean for Passover and if they were not clean they must celebrate during the
second month on the 14
th day.
This is the only feast that has an alternative date for celebrating the
feast and it further states that if an offering is not given for Passover that
person will be cut-off from his people. According
to the Dead Sea Scrolls
calendarfor the priestly courses the Levites (priests) always observed both
Passover dates. On the Passover date
that Jesus was crucified on there is no mention of a Passover dinner that night
and I believe it is because of this law that there could not have been
one. Jesus’ family would have been
considered unclean due to a dead body.
This law also states that if an Israelite or their posterity
is on a journey far off that they should keep the Passover feast in the second
month fourteenth day at evening time. The law below shows that the Israelites are
now to have the 10 commandments, instead of the blood of the lamb, on their
lintels and gates. With all this in mind
I have wondered if the second Passover feast will be fulfilled in some way when
Jesus returns since the posterity (
future generations)
of Jacob Israel was not at the first passover.
“Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the
Lord thy God with all thy mind, and with all thy soul, and all thy strength.
And these words, all that I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart
and in thy soul. And thou shalt teach them to thy children, and thou shalt
speak of them sitting in the house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and
rising up. And thou shalt fasten them for a sign upon thy hand, and it shall be
immoveable before thine eyes. And ye shall write them on the lintels of your houses and of
your gates.” Sep Deu 6:4-9
The Israelites were given the Passover laws in the book of
Deuteronomy where it is documented that they agreed to follow the all
laws. They were reminded that they left
in haste and in the fulfillment of this law to come we should be ready also to
leave in haste. Here are the Passover
laws they were given:
“
Observe the month of new corn, and thou shalt sacrifice the passover to
the Lord thy God; because in the month of new corn thou camest out of Egypt by night.
And thou shalt sacrifice the passover to the Lord thy God, sheep and oxen in
the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to have his name called upon it. Thou
shalt not
eat leaven with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread with it, bread
of affliction, because ye came forth out of Egypt in haste; that ye may
remember the day of your coming forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of
your life. Leaven
shall not be seen with thee in all thy borders for seven days, and
there shall not be left of the flesh which thou shalt sacrifice at even on the
first day until the morning. thou shalt not have power to sacrifice the
passover in any of the cities, which the Lord thy God gives thee. But in the
place which the Lord thy God shall choose, to have his name called there, thou shalt
sacrifice the passover at even [westbound] at the setting of the sun, at the time
when thou camest out of Egypt.
And thou shalt boil and roast and eat it in the place, which the Lord thy God
shall choose; and thou shalt return in the morning, and go to thy house.”
Sep Deu 16:1-7
The English words even or descent (above) was translated
from the Greek word
δυσμάς (dusmé )
which means west bound.
According to biblehub.com
it is
Strong’s number 1424 and
every time that word is used in the New Testament it was translated to the
English word ‘
west’.
Therefore, our Father is telling the
Israelites to sacrifice the lamb when the sun is headed downward in the
west.
After the sun hits ‘high noon’,
it starts heading downward to its setting position in the west.
Therefore, I believe the instruction state to
sacrifice the lamb in the afternoon on the 14
th day of the first
month in the afternoon.
I believe that
they were able to sacrifice a lamb earlier in the day than the first Passover since
a different Greek word is used in this verse.
In order for Jesus to be the Passover lamb he had to die
when the sun was descending in the west on the 14
th day on the first
month in order to fulfill this prophecy.
According to the New Testament
accounts of his crucifixion he died at 3:00pm, so we know that the Israelites must
have left Ramesses, Egypt at about 3:00pm.
The account in Exodus tells us that they left their homes in
a rush during the night.
“And it came to pass at midnight that the Lord smote all the first-born
in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharao that sat on the throne, to
the first-born of the captive-maid in the dungeon, and the first-born of all
cattle. And Pharao
rose up by night, and his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there
was a great cry in all the land of Egypt, for there was not a house in which
there was not one dead. And Pharao called Moses and Aaron by night, and
said to them, Rise
and depart from my people, both
ye and the children of Israel. Go and serve the Lord your God, even as ye say.
And take with you your sheep, and your oxen: bless me also, I pray you.” Sep
Exo 12:29-32
The account of the Exodus in Numbers tells us that they left
Ramesses, Egypt on the fifteenth day of the first month. Therefore they must have left their homes at
night, got some rest and then met in Ramesses. Then about 3:00pm in the
afternoon they left Ramesses.
“They departed
from Ramesses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month;
on the day after the passover the children of Israel went forth with a high
hand before all the Egyptians. And the Egyptians buried those that died of
them, even all that the Lord smote, every first-born in the land of Egypt; also
the Lord executed vengeance on their gods.” Num 33:3-4
Here I have revised the time line to include the new
information of the First Passover feast and the Israelites leaving Egypt:
According to the law in Deuteronomy above I believe it is
now stating that they can roast the lamb out doors and they can start the
sacrifice of the lamb sometime after high noon on the 14th of the 1st month.
Prior to Passover they Purified Themselves
According to biblical law the Levites and the Priests
performing the sacrifices were required to be fully cleansed:
“Take the Levites out of the midst of the children of Israel, and thou
shalt purify
them. And thus shalt thou perform their purification: thou shalt
sprinkle them with water of purification, and a razor shall come upon the whole
of their body, and they shall wash their garments, and shall be clean. And they
shall take one calf of the herd, and its meat-offering, fine flour mingled with
oil: and thou shalt take a calf of a year old of the herd for a sin-offering.
And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of witness; and thou
shalt assemble all the congregation of the sons of Israel. And thou shalt bring
the Levites before the Lord; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands upon
the Levites. And Aaron shall separate the Levites for a gift before the Lord
from the children of Israel: and they shall be prepared to perform the works of
the Lord. And the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the calves; and
thou shalt offer one for a sin-offering, and the other for a
whole-burnt-offering to the Lord, to make atonement for them.” Sep Num
8:6-12
Recorded in Chronicles, at this Passover a number of the
Israelites had not purified themselves prior to the feast and Ezekiel prayed
for them since this was against the laws of Moses.
“And Ezekias sent to all Israel and Juda, and wrote letters to Ephraim
and Manasse, that they should come into the house of the Lord to Jerusalem, to keep the
passover to the Lord God of
Israel. For the king, and the princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem,
designed to keep the passover in the second month. For they could not keep it at that time, because a sufficient number of priest had
not purified themselves, and the people was not gathered to
Jerusalem.” Sep 2Ch 30:1-3
“And they stood at their post, according to their ordinance, according
to the commandment of Moses the man of God: and the priests received the blood
from the hand of the Levites. For a great part of the congregation was not sanctified;
and the Levites were ready to kill the passover for every one who could not
sanctify himself to the Lord. For the greatest part of the people of Ephraim,
and Manasse, and Issachar, and Zabulon, had not purified themselves, but ate the
passover contrary to the scripture. On this account also Ezekias prayed
concerning them, saying, The good Lord be merciful with regard to every heart
that sincerely seeks the Lord God of their fathers, and is not purified according to the
purification of the sanctuary.” Sep 2 Ch 30:16-19
At the first Passover after they had been in captivity in
Babylon they kept the Passover and that the priests and Levites were all
purified.
“And the children
of the captivity kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
For the
priests and Levites were purified, all were clean to a man, and
they slew the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their
brethren the priests, and for themselves. And the children of Israel ate the
passover, even they that were of the captivity, and every one who separated
himself to them from the uncleanness of the nations of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel.”
Ezr 6:19-21
Jesus’ Last Supper
On the 12th day of the first month Mary sister of
Martha anoints Jesus by pouring oil on this head and wiped HIS feet with
hair. Christ means anointed one and Mary
does know that Jesus is the Christ.
“(And
Mary was she
that anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair:
whose brother Lazarus was sick.)” DR John 11:2
“Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, there
came unto him a woman having an alabaster cruse of exceeding precious ointment,
and she
poured it upon his head, as he sat at meat. But when the disciples
saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this
ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. But Jesus
perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath
wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you;
but me ye have not always. For in that she poured this ointment upon my body, she did it to
prepare me for burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this
gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which this woman hath
done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.” DR Mat 26:7-13
On the 13
th day of the first month Peter and John
were instructed to go to the city and find a man holding a pitcher of water and
follow him to his house to get ready for Passover.
Jesus and the Apostles need to complete the
necessary purification laws that evening so they could partake of Passover the
next day.
Therefore they would need the
vase or pitcher of water to prepare.
There is a mis-translation in every bible stating that
Passover was that day; however that is not correct since the word ‘come’ should
be ‘to come’. They were getting ready
the day before Passover and later that night Jesus and the Apostles met them
there for preparation.
“
And the day of unleavened [ἀζύμων (azumōn) unleavened, uncorrupted] bread came[ Ἦλθεν (ēlthen) 'to come'],
on which the passover must be sacrificed. And he sent Peter and John, saying,
Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat. And they said unto him,
Where wilt thou that we make ready? And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are
entered into the city, there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water;
follow him into the house whereinto he goeth. And ye shall say unto the master
of the house, The Teacher saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I
shall eat the passover with my disciples? And he will show you a large upper
room furnished: there
make ready. And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready
the passover.” ASV Luke 22:7-13
Jesus Washed the Apostle’s Feet
Jesus’ washes the Apostle’s feet as part of the purification
laws described above plus he is preparing them for the events that will occur
the next day on Passover.
Jesus washes the apostle’s feet and has this conversation
with Peter:
“After that, he putteth water into a basin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples,
and to wipe
them with the towel wherewith he was girded. He cometh therefore to
Simon Peter. And Peter saith to him: Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus
answered, and said to him: What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know
hereafter. Peter saith to him: Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered
him: If I
wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me. Simon Peter saith to
him: Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him:
He that is
washed, needeth not but to wash his feet, but is clean wholly. And you are
clean, but not all. For he knew
who he was that would betray him; therefore he said: You are not all clean.” John
13:5-11
Jesus states Peter is not wholly clean since he will deny
Jesus three times later that night:
“Simon Peter saith to him: Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered:
Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow hereafter.
Peter saith to him: Why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for
thee. Jesus answered him: Wilt thou lay down thy life for me? Amen, amen I say to
thee, the cock shall not crow, till thou deny me thrice.”
John 13:36-38
Jesus’ Last Supper
At Jesus’ last supper he told HIS Apostles the following:
“I say to you, he that believeth in me, the works that I do, he also shall
do; and greater than these shall he do. Because I go to the Father:
and whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do: that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do.
If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will ask the
Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for
ever. The
spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him
not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you,
and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.” John 14:12-18
Jesus said that if you believe HIM you will do HIS work. So read HIS words and ask yourself whether you
believe his words or do you believe the ‘traditions of men’?
Jesus said ‘if you love me, keep my commandments’. There are 10 commandments that we are all
very familiar with and there are the five books of Moses that explain how to
keep these HIS commandments. Therefore,
HE is saying that he will answer your prayers if you follow the 10 commandments
and the laws explaining these commandments.
Most importantly Jesus said he would return and not leave
HIS people as orphans.
Christ told the Apostles that HE
would leave with them the Holy Spirit to guide them.
On the following Pentecost, the Apostles and 3000 others were baptized and
received the Holy Spirit to guide them.
“
But the Paraclete [assistant], the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach
you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said
to you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the
world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be
afraid.” DR John 15:26-27
Communion & the Breaking of the Bread
Jesus did take bread with leaven and gave it to the
disciples; however this is not where the tradition of taking communion on
resurrection Sunday begins. The tradition
of communion at the Sunday service actually is based on the Unleavened Bread feast
day law since HIS resurrection is celebrated during Unleavened Bread.
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it;
and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took a cup,
and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the
covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins. But I say
unto you, I shall not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that
day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. And when they had sung
a hymn, they went out unto the mount of Olives.” DR Mat 26:26-30
“Seven
days shall ye eat unleavened bread; nothing leavened shall be seen with thee,
neither shalt thou have leaven in all thy borders. And thou shalt tell thy son
in that day, saying, Therefore the Lord dealt thus with me, as I was going out
of Egypt. And it
shall be to thee a sign upon thy hand and a memorial before thine eyes,
that the law of the Lord may be in thy mouth, for with a strong hand the Lord
God brought thee out of Egypt.” Sep Exo 13:7-9
The Apostle John tells us that our Father in Heaven was the
Word; therefore Jesus also represents the Word.
When Jesus tells us to eat the bread, he is saying HE wants us to read
HIS Word and digest it. When we hold
Unleavened Bread in our hand we are to remember the laws of Moses and following
these laws keeps us out of bondage.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God.” DR John 1:1
In the book of Revelation it is prophesized that we will
take the book and read (eat it) and the bible would sound good to us; however
it will also make us bitter since realize that we have not been told the truth on so many facts.
“And I went to the angel, saying unto him, that he should give me the
book. And he said to me: Take the book, and eat it up: and it shall
make thy belly
bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey. And I took
the book from the hand of the angel, and ate it up: and it was in my mouth,
sweet as honey: and when I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.” DR Rev 10:9
Jesus’ Three Days and Three Nights in Tomb
Jesus was put in a tomb and rose after the third day and
night was completed:
“From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to
Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the ancients and scribes and chief
priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise
again.” DR Mat 16:21
“And when they abode together in Galilee, Jesus said to them: The Son of
man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the third day he
shall rise again. And they were troubled exceedingly.” DR Mat
17:22-23
“Saying: The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the
ancients and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day rise again.”
DR Luke 9:22
“And after they have scourged him, they will put him to death; and the third day
he shall rise again.” DR Luke 18:33
“Saying: The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” DR Luke 24:7
“And the
multitudes running together, he began to say: This generation is a wicked
generation: it asketh a sign, and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of
Jonas the prophet. For as Jonas was a sign to the Ninivites; so
shall the Son of man also be to this generation.” DR Luke 11:29-30

Exodus Events and Crucifixion Fulfillment
Below I have
prepared a table showing the Passover laws and events and how Christ fulfilled
these events. It proves Jesus was
crucified during a lunar cycle 3 year.
Lunar Calendar: The new moon was March 13th. Therefore a lunar Passover dinner would start
the evening of on March 26th and end on March 27th at 6:00pm. On the
Enoch & Dead Sea Scroll temple calendar the full moon would occur on the 10th
day of the 1st month with is ‘pick the lamb’ day. Every three years there is a full moon on ‘pick
the lamb’ day.
Solar Calendar: The spring equinox was March 16th
in 2021. Therefore the solar Passover
sacrifice would be required on the afternoon of March 30th with the
dinner to follow that night.
On the Enoch & Dead Sea Scroll temple calendar this is the 14th
day of the 1st Month. This
year, 2021, is a lunar cycle 3.
See this page for more information
about the lunar cycles and the equinox being on March 16th in 2021:

it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, he said unto his

and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified. Then were
gathered together the chief priests, and the elders of the people, unto the
court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas; and they took counsel
together that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him. But they said,
Not during

Cleansing &
Preparation for Passover
“And
the day of unleavened [ἀζύμων (azumōn) unleavened, uncorrupted] bread came[ Ἦλθεν (ēlthen) 'to come'], on which the passover must be
sacrificed. And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the
passover, that we may eat. And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we
make ready? And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city,
there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him
into the house whereinto he goeth. And ye shall say unto the master of the
house, The Teacher saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall
eat the passover with my disciples? And he will show you a large upper room
furnished: there
make ready. And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and
they made
ready the passover.” ASV Luke
22:7-13
Also see Mat 26:16-17; the word ‘day’ is inserted & should
say Unleavened bread is ‘approaching’.
Mark 14:12 mistranslation issues: the Disciples are asking where to go to
prepare.
“So
when he had washed
their feet, and taken his garments, and sat down again, he said
unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?” John 13:12

Jesus’ Last
Supper
“Now
when even
was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve disciples; and as they were
eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.”
Mat 26:20
Judas
identified as the one to betray Jesus
“Jesus
therefore answereth, He it is, for whom I shall dip the sop [morsel of bread], and give it him. So when he had
dipped the sop, he taketh and giveth it to Judas, the son of Simon
Iscariot. And after the sop, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore
saith unto him, What thou doest, do quickly.” John
13:26 also see Mat 26:22-25

“And
as they were eating, Jesus took bread [ἄρτον (arton) loaf bread]
and blessed, and brake it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat;
this is my body. And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them,
saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is
poured out for many unto remission of sins. But I say unto you, I shall not
drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it
new with you in my Father's kingdom.” Mat 26:26-29
Jesus is saying
to take this corrupted bread with leaven and digest it. John told us that our Father in Heaven,
therefore Jesus, is ‘the word’ of the old
Testament. (John 1:1-4, Rev 10:9) The
blood is the New Covent & remission of sins. So digest HIS word & become pure.
Mat 26:26 & Mark 14:22 & Luke 22:19 Jesus broke leavened bread G740. Note that they were not eating unleavened bread
G106 like you are required to do at Passover.

Judas
betrayed Jesus by identifying him with a kiss.
“Now
he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take
him. And straightway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and
kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, do that for which thou art come.
Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.” Mat

against Jesus
to put him to death. “ Mat 27:1
“They
lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium: and it was early;
and they themselves entered not into the Praetorium, that they might
not be defiled, but might eat the passover.” John 18:28
“Now

“But
in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, to have his name called
there, thou shalt

thou camest out of Egypt.” Deu 16:6
“And
ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and having dipped it
into some of the blood that is
by the door, ye shall touch the lintel, and shall put it upon both
door-posts, even of the blood which is by the door; but ye shall not go out every one from the
door of his house till the morning.” Exo 12:22
Law for purifying houses: “And he shall take to purify the house two clean living birds,
and cedar wood, and spun scarlet, and hyssop. And he shall slay one bird in
an earthen vessel over running water. And he shall take the cedar wood, and
the spun
scarlet, and the hyssop, and the living bird; and shall
dip it into the blood of the bird slain over running water, and with them he
shall sprinkle the house seven times.” Lev
14:49-51
|
Jesus says HIS last words at 3:00pm our
time.
“There was set there a vessel full of
vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and
brought it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he
said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.”
John 19:29 Also see Mat 27:48
“And
behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the
bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent.” Mat 27:51
“For
when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to all the people,
he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself
and all the people, Saying: This is the blood of the testament, which God hath enjoined unto you. The
tabernacle also and all the vessels of the ministry, in like manner, he
sprinkled with blood. And almost all things, according to the law, are cleansed
with blood: and without shedding of blood there is no remission.” Heb 9:19-22

they shall
eat the flesh in this night roast
with fire, and they shall eat unleavened bread with bitter herbs.” Exo

“Beginning

day of the first month, ye
shall eat
unleavened bread from evening, till the twenty-first day of the
month, till evening.” Exo 12:18
“Speak
to the children of Israel, saying, Whatever man shall be unclean by reason of a dead body,
or on a journey far off, among you, or among your posterity; he shall then keep the
passover to the Lord, in the second month, on the fourteenth day;
in the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs
shall they eat it.” Num 9:10-11
|
Christ was the lamb that was
sacrificed that day. Therefore, HE
fulfilled the passover requirements.
There is no mention of Jesus’
family or the Apostles eating Passover dinner that evening. There is no mention of them sacrificing a
lamb that day. They could not
sacrifice a lamb that day since they were unclean because of Jesus’ dead
body.
We are to eat unleavened bread
that evening to remember the law and that is a sign in our hand that we are remembering the law. (Exo 13:9)
We are to eat bitter herbs to remember we were slaves in Egypt and it
was a bitter experience. We are also
to remember the bitter experience that Christ had dying and providing redemption
for HIS people.

“And
it came to pass at midnight that the Lord smote all the first-born in the land
of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharao that sat on the throne, to
the first-born of the captive-maid in the dungeon, and the first-born of all
cattle. And Pharao rose up by night, and his servants, and all the Egyptians;
and there
was a great cry in all the land of Egypt, for there was not a house in which
there was not one dead.” Exo 12:29-30
“Thou
shalt not eat leaven with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread with it, bread of
affliction, because ye came forth out of Egypt in haste; that ye
may remember the day of your coming forth out of the land of Egypt all the
days of your life.” Deu 16:3
“Nothing
shall be left of it till the morning, and a bone of it ye shall not break;
but that which is left of it till the morning ye shall burn with fire.”
Exo 12:10
“And
Pharao called Moses
and Aaron by night, and said to them, Rise and depart from my people,
both ye and the children of Israel. Go and serve the Lord your God, even as
ye say. And take with you your sheep, and your oxen: bless me also, I pray
you.” Exo 12:31-32
“And
thou shalt boil and roast and eat it in the place, which the Lord thy God
shall choose; and thou shalt return in the morning, and go to thy house.”
Deu 16:7
|
“But
after they were come to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead, they
did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers with a spear opened his side, and
immediately there came out blood and
water.” John 19:33-34
“For
these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled: You shall not break a
bone of him. And again another scripture saith: They shall look on
him whom they pierced.” John 19:36-37
“And
when it
was evening, there came a certain rich man of Arimathea, named
Joseph, who also himself was a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate, and
asked the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that the body should be
delivered. And Joseph taking the body, wrapped it up in a clean linen cloth.
And laid it in his own new monument, which he had hewed out in a rock. And he
rolled a great stone to the door of the monument, and went his way.“ Mat
27:57-60
“And
when he learned it of the centurion, he granted the corpse to Joseph. And he bought a
linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him
in a tomb which had been hewn out of a rock; and he rolled a stone against
the door of the tomb. And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of
Joses beheld where he was laid.” Mark 15:45-47
“And
it was the
day of the Parasceve [Preparation Day], and the Sabbath [cease, rest] drew on [beginning to dawn]. And the women that were come with
him from Galilee, following after, saw the sepulchre, and how his body was
laid. And returning, they prepared spices and ointments; and on the
sabbath day they rested, according to the commandment.” Luke 23:54-56
They were in a hurry to have Jesus buried
before the Feast of Unleavened bread began at dawn since the laws states they
must go to their house. The Passover over feast done correctly takes all night; therefore
they were to go rest and then celebrate Unleavened Bread later that evening.

convocation to you: ye shall do no servile work on them, only as many things
as will necessarily be done by every soul, this only shall be done by you.
And ye shall keep this commandment, for on this day will I bring out your
force out of the land of Egypt; and ye shall make this day a perpetual ordinance for
you throughout your generations.” Exo 12:15-17

in the end
[after] of the sabbath, when it began to dawn [sun rising]
towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other
Mary, to see the sepulchre. And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel

for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men.

The
Saints were Redeemed that died under the Old Testament
“And
the graves
were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose, and
coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the
holy city and appeared unto many.” Mat 27:53
“And
they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven
gathered together, and them that were with them, saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath
appeared to Simon.” Luke 24:33-34
“And
he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet
with you, that
all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses,
and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.
Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures; and he
said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise
again from the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be
preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Ye are
witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:44-48
|
I have documented all the events of the Exodus
and partial fulfillment of Unleavened Bread on this page.
Why did Jesus have to die?
Jesus had to die so that the Old Testament could be
executed. The Old and New Testament is a
collection of laws, covenants (promises and agreements), and testimonies
regarding the Will of our Father in Heaven.
A testament is a Will and legal document with witnesses stating how a
person’s possessions will be disposed of after their death. Therefore these testaments are legal
documents that state how Adam and his descendants are to be disposed of after
Jesus’ death and it is a binding contract.
In the New Testament Jesus becomes our legal arbitrator who we are to
reconcile our sins with instead of reconciling them with the blood of goats and
cows. So Jesus had to die so HIS Will can
be executed as stated in our bibles. A
person’s Will can never be executed while a person is still living.
“
But
Christ, being come an high priest of the good things to come,
by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hand, that is, not of
this creation: Neither
by the blood of goats, or of calves, but by his own blood, entered once into
the holies, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of
goats and of oxen, and the ashes of an heifer being sprinkled, sanctify such as
are defiled, to the cleansing of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of
Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our
conscience from dead works, to serve the living God? And therefore he is the mediator
[a reconciler or arbitrator, guaranteeing the performance of all the terms] of the new testament: that by means
of his death, for the redemption of those trangressions, which were under
the former testament, they that are called may receive the
promise of eternal inheritance. For where there is a testament, the death of
the testator must of necessity come in. For a testament is of force,
after men
are dead: otherwise it is as yet of no strength, whilst the testator
liveth.”
Heb 9:15-17
Below are the definitions of the words Testament, Will, and
Covenant from my 1913 Webster’s Dictionary:
Our Father in Heaven stated how HE wanted
HIS chosen people disposed of in the Old Testament and will execute HIS Will
soon.
New Covenant
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy in the book of Jeremiah that a
new covenant would be made with the House of Israel and House of Juda.
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house
of Israel, and with the house of Juda: not according to the covenant which I
made with their fathers in the day when I took hold of their hand to bring them
out of the land of Egypt; for they abode not in my covenant, and I
disregarded them, saith the Lord. For this is my covenant which I will make
with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the Lord, I will surely
put my laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts; and I will be to
them a God, and they shall be to me a people. And they shall not at
all teach every one his fellow citizen, and every one his brother, saying, Know
the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest of
them: for I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will
remember no more. Thus saith the Lord, who gives the sun for a light by day,
the moon and the stars for a light by night, and makes a roaring in the sea, so
that the waves thereof roar; the Lord Almighty is his name: if these ordinances
cease from before me, saith the Lord, then shall the family of Israel cease to
be a nation before me forever. Though the sky should be raised to a greater
height, saith the Lord, and though the ground of the earth should be sunk lower
beneath, yet I will not cast off the family of Israel, saith the Lord, for all that
they have done.” Sep Jer 38:31-37
The Apostle Paul confirms in the letter to the Hebrews that
a new covenant was made with the House of Israel that would include Juda. Therefore the new covenant was not made with
a church building.
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saith the Lord; I will put my
laws into their mind, And on their heart also will I write them: And I will be
to them a God, And they shall be to me a people: And they shall not
teach every man his fellow-citizen, And every man his brother, saying, Know the
Lord: For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest of them. For I will
be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins will I remember no more.”
ASV Hebrew 8:10-12
Jesus’ Apostles & the Great Commission
Jesus called to HIS service twelve Apostles to be a witness
of HIS and write the gospels. They were
called to do this work for Jesus ‘free of charge’.
“Now the names of the twelve apostles are
these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew
his brother; James
the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas,
and Matthew
the publican; James
the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot,
who also betrayed him. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying,
Go not into any way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the
Samaritans: but go
rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach,
saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse
the lepers, cast
out demons: freely ye received, freely give. Get you no
gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses; no wallet for your journey, neither
two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is
worthy; and there abide till ye go forth. And as ye enter into the house,
salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it
be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear
your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and
Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.” Matthew 10:2-5
These are the names and information about HIS chosen
Apostles:
Martyred Saints
All of Jesus’ apostles were martyred except John. Jesus did warn the Apostles that the truth
they would be sharing with their kinsman would cause them to be hated and persecuted. They were told to remember that Jesus would
save them; meaning they would be rewarded in the resurrection.
“Behold I
send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as
serpents and simple as doves. But beware of men. For they will deliver you up
in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues. And you shall be
brought before governors, and before kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to
the Gentiles: But when they shall deliver you up, take no thought how or what
to speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak. For it is not
you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you. The brother
also shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the son: and the
children shall rise up against their parents, and shall put them to death. And you shall be hated
by all men for my name's sake: but he that shall persevere unto the end, he
shall be saved.” DR Mat
10:17-22
We must remember our reward comes when Jesus returns and we
will be rewarded according to our deeds just like the Apostles will be.
“And he saith to me: Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book:
for the time is at hand. He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is
filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified
still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still. Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is
with me, to render to every man according to his works.”

Halos & Radiant Crosses
Early Israelites painted Jesus with
a halo
which is a crown of light rays or circle that surrounds a person’s head in art
work.
The halo meant the person in the
artwork was holy.
Christ is shown many
times with the cross within his halo which is known today as the Celtic
cross.
The Celtic cross was used
as a staff to find direction similar to how we use a compass today; therefore
the picture is stating that Jesus provides directions for us to live and
follow.
“Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world: he that followeth me,
walketh not in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined
in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in
the face of Christ Jesus.” 2 Cor 4:6
The
radiant crown or solar crown was worn by past emperors. The radiant crown was also called a sun
crown.
Therefore these halos and radiant crowns represent the light of true
and that is why rulers (Kings) wore them. They put the Halo and
Cross on Jesus’ head because HE was the High Priest and King of
King and our ultimate ruler on earth. A circle with a cross is also
the symbol that represents the earth.
Prophecy
The gospel of John tells us there will be two
resurrections. I believe the
resurrection of life will be fulfilled in the spring feasts and the
resurrection of judgement will occur in the fall feasts.
“And they that have done good
things, shall come forth unto the resurrection of
life; but they that have done evil, unto the resurrection
of judgment.” John 5:29
These verses indicate that Jesus will return in the spring:
“But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be
darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall
fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of
the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send forth his
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his
elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now from the
fig tree learn her parable: when her branch
is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves [spring], ye know that the summer is nigh; even so ye also, when ye see
all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even
at the doors [laws/blood on door]. Verily I say unto you, This generation
shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. Heaven and earth
shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Mat 24:29-35
Matthew goes on to tell us that one will be taken and the
other not. I believe the ones taken are
the ones in the resurrection of life where the redeemed ones, who are living of
Israel, will go rebuild the kingdom and then the others will be judged later at
the fall feasts.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the
angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. And as were the days of
Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. For as in those days which were
before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and they knew not until
the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. Then
shall two men be in the field; one is taken, and one is left: two women shall
be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.” Mat
24:36-41
It is the promise of the redeemed or ransomed people at
Passover that represent who will be called to rebuild the kingdom.
“Awake,
awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the
generations of ancient times.
Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?
Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that
madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over? And the
ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy;
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” DR Isa 35:12
“For behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say ye to
the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy Saviour has come to thee, having his reward
and his work before his face. And one shall call them the holy
people, the redeemed
of the Lord: and thou shalt be called a city sought out, and not
forsaken.” Sep Isa 62:11-12
The Israelites in the resurrection of life will have their
oil ready all the times. Oil is not
something you can purchase last minute.
The oil represents the ancient lamp stand that the Levites had to keep
lite in the tabernacle every day to keep the Ark of the Covenant with the laws
in the light at all times. Having oil means you have studied and know the law
well and do your best to keep HIS laws and they do repent if they do make a
mistake. Those that do not know the laws
of Moses will be the ones that Jesus will say to ‘I do not know you’.
“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took
their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were
foolish, and five were wise. For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took
no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Now
while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight
there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said
unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. But the wise
answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye
rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went away to
buy, the bridegroom
came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage
feast: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins,
saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.” Mat 25:1-15
Conclusion
The book of Acts does confirm that the Ancient Israelites
continued the feast of Passover after Jesus’ crucifixion.
“
And when he had apprehended him, he cast him into prison, delivering
him to four files of soldiers to be kept, intending, after the pasch [Passover}, to
bring him forth to the people.” Acts 12:4
The Apostle Paul told the Israelites in Corinth to continue
celebrating the feast days and that Christ was our Passover Lamb.
“Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are
unleavened. For our
passover also hath been sacrificed, even Christ: wherefore let us keep the
feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and
wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” ASV 1
Cor 5:7-8
The only reason we have not been observing these feasts is
due to the persecutions of the Christian Israelites.
Christians who celebrated the feast days were killed.
Let’s restore these feast days as stated in the laws of Moses except for
the blood sacrifices for remission of sin since only Christ can cover over sin
now. We must keep the Passover and remember that the full redemption of Israel
has not occurred yet. Be listening for the trumpet call and
do not forget to blow the trumpet at the start of all Feast Days!
