2021 New Year’s Day & the Lunar Cycle

Overview

According to the Sun and Moon News Year’s Day is March 17th in 2021.  To determine when the solar New Year’s Day will be according to the Dead Sea Scrolls and Enoch we must remember these three rules which are reflected in the Dead Sea Scroll Temple calendar.

New Year’s Day is always Wednesday

First:  New Year’s Day must be observed on the fourth day of the week which is called Wednesday now.  This is because the Sun, Moon and stars were created on the fourth day; therefore their first day in existence was the fourth day and so New Year’s Day must also be on the four day.

“And God said: Let there be lights made in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: To shine in the firmament of heaven, and to give light upon the earth, and it was so done. And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day; and a lesser light to rule the night: and The stars. And he set them in the firmament of heaven to shine upon the earth. And to rule the day and the night, and to divide the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And the evening and morning were the fourth day.” Sep Gen 1:14-19

The Year is 364 Days

Second:  The year is 364 days long; therefore New Year’s Day is NOT movable.   The sun does not speed up or slow down – it is dependable and continually returned to the same place every 364 days as shown in the Dead Sea Scrolls Temple calendar and in these two verses:

“And command thou the children of Israel that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts.”  Jubilees 6:32

On that day the night decreases and amounts to nine parts, and the day to nine parts, and the night is equal to the day and the year is exactly as to its days three hundred and sixty-four.” Enoch 72:32

So we should have faith that the equinoxes and solstices will occur as our Father in Heaven scheduled.  We should not have to wait and see when the spring equinox is to make our yearly religious calendar.  Calendars can be made years in advance using the 364 day solar year.  Some people do like to set up their equipment and verify the equinox and I do think that is good also since we have been using a false calendar for many years and we need to ensure we are following a correct calendar now.  However if they do not set up their equipment accurately using the correct angles, they could state the wrong day for New Years.   I actually have worked on setting up a way to tell if the equinox has occurred at my place; however it has been cloudy every year and it is expected to be cloudy again this year so using the moon is the best I can do again this year.

Three Lunar Cycles

Third:  The lunar phases repeat every three years and must stay lined up correctly with the solar calendar.  The Dead Sea Scroll Temple Calendar documents the priest courses (divisions) for serving in the temple that King David established and is documented in 1 Chronicles chapter 24 and is mentioned in Luke 1:5.  Within the priest courses the dates for the new moons and full moons are provided.  The lunar cycle in the priest courses reflects they used the calculation shown below.

Dead Sea Scroll’s Full Moon Calculation

Today’s calendars do not use the same lunar cycle calculation; instead they use the Metonic cycle of a 19 year repeating cycle meaning they think the moon speeds up and slows down some years (more crazy thinking). Also most printed and online calendars reflect the moon phase dates for London, England which is Universal Time instead of local time; therefore here in the United States our actual new moons and full moons could be a day off from London, England.

According to Enoch chapter 78, the lunar month is 29 days and some months it is 30 days.  So it averages consistently 29.5 days each month; therefore making the Dead Sea Scroll Temple Calendar in agreement with Enoch.  Enoch chapter 74 reflects that a lunar year is 354 days (1062/3=354) so at the end of every third year the lunar year is exactly 30 days short of the solar year; however at the start of the four year the sun and moon line up again and are both in their creation position on the fourth day of the week on New Year’s Day.

“For the moon alone the days amount in 3 years to 1,062 days, and in 5 years she falls 50 days behind: [i.e. to the sum of (1770) there is to be added (1000 and) 62 days)  And in 5 years there are 1,770 days, so that for the moon the days in 8 years amount to 2,832 days.  [For in 8 years she falls behind to the amount of 80 days], all the days she falls behind in 8 years are 80.  And the year is accurately completed in conformity with their world-stations and the stations of the sun, which rise from the portals through which it (the sun) rises and sets 30 days.”  Enoch 74:14-17

Every three years the lunar cycle starts over again with a full moon occurring Wednesday the day after the Spring Equinox.  According the Temple Calendar full moons were considered ‘heavenly signs’.  The picture below is the sun and moon in their creation position.  The moon is full in this position.

2021 According to the Sun

The sun is in its creation position the first day of the New Year’s which is always on the fourth day of the week, Wednesday.  The equinox should always occur the day prior on a Tuesday.  The etymology of the word equinox shows this word comes from Latin and means equal night; on this date the day and night should be equal.

The descendants of Adam who were writing the Holy Scriptures were living in the Northern Hemisphere; therefore somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere there should be a place with equal day and night on a Tuesday.  We know they were in the Northern Hemisphere since they could see constellations that only people in the Northern hemisphere can see (Job 9:9  & Amo 5:8).  So I viewed several locations and found that on Tuesday March 16th several places experienced close to equal day and night.

The ancients used sidereal day to tell time in which a day is 23 hours and 56 minutes.  So equal day and night would be about 11 hours and 58 minutes each.  Reflected below are daylength times for Illinois and Greece showing that March 16th has close equal day and night.  The place in Illinois shown below has 1 minute and 9 seconds more day light.  Athens, Greece has 31 seconds more day light.  Salt Lake City, Utah has 52 seconds more of day light (not shown below).  Mexico City reaches 11 hours and 58 minutes of day light on Friday March 12th; therefore cannot be the right location since this must occur on a Tuesday.  Yes, time is location.  Going further north to Glasgow, Scotland they do not achieve 11 hours and 58 minutes of day light until Wednesday, March 17th; therefore again not the right location as expected.  The equinox must be on a Tuesday to be in sync with the Dead Sea Scrolls and Enoch.

Dead Sea Scrolls - Lunar Cycle 1 - 2019

The Dead Sea Scrolls, Mishmarot A (4Q320), fragment 1 I shown below, describes when full moons occur during lunar cycle one of three and the priestly courses one of six.  For each full moon it tells us the day of the week there was a full moon, the priest course in progress, the day of the lunar month and the day of the solar month.  Notice the full moon occurred on the 30th day and the next month it occurred on the 29th day, then it occurred on the 30th day, and this pattern continues that every other month is 30 days and the month between is always 29 days.

“I ... to show it from the east. [And] to cause it to shine [in] the middle of heaven, in the foundation [of the creat]ion, from evening till morning.

(There is full moon)

On the 4th (day) [Wednesday] in the week [of the sons of G]amul in the first month of [the firs]t year.

[On the 5th (day) in (the week of) Jedai]ah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month, which falls) on the 30th (day) of the 1st (solar month).

[On the sabbath in (the week of) Hak]koz, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month, which falls) on the 30th of the second (solar month).

[On the 1st (day) in (the week of) Elia]shib, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month), (which falls) on the 29th (day) in the third (solar month).

[On the 3rd (day) in (the week of) Bilg]ah, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month, which falls) on the 28th day in the fourth (solar month).

[On the 4th (day) in (the week of) Peta]hiah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 27th day in the fifth (solar month).

On the 6th (day) in (the week of) Delaiah, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 27th (day) in the sixth (solar month).

[On the sabbath in (the week of) Seori]m, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 25th (day) in the seventh (solar month).

[On the 2nd (day) in (the week of) Abiah, (corresponding) to the 3]oth (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 25th (day) in the eighth (solar month).

[On the 3rd (day) in (the week of) Jakim, (corresponding) to the 2]9th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 24th (day) in the ninth (solar month).

On the 5th (day) in (the week of) Immer, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 23rd (day) in the tenth (solar month).

On the 6th (day) in (the week of) Jehezekel, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 22nd (day) in the eleventh (solar) month.

On the 1st (day) in (the week of) Jeiarib, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 22nd (day) in the twelfth (solar) month.”

The priestly divisions, of the year, were originally created by King David and they are also known as courses.  King David’s priestly courses are described in 1 Chronicles chapter 24 and the Dead Sea Scrolls reflect the courses were on a rotating schedule.  The courses were ongoing until the time of Jesus’ birth as described here in Luke:

“There was in the days of Herod, king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah: and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.” ASV Luk 1:5

The year 2019 was a lunar cycle one year; however, I cannot be sure if it was a priest course one or four year.  I show the 2019 calendar below assuming only that it was a priest course one year as described above in the Dead Sea Scrolls.  2019 was a lunar cycle one year and we did have a full moon on the Wednesday of New Year’s Day.

Dead Sea Scrolls – Lunar Cycle 2 - 2020

The lunar cycle two of three is described as follows:

“The second year: On the 2nd (day) in (the week of) Malchiah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 20th (day) in the first (solar month).

On the 4th (day) in (the week of) Jeshua, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 20th (day) in the second (solar month).

On the 5th (day) in (the week of) Huppah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 19th [in the third] (month).

On the sabbath in (the week of) Pizzez, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 18th in the f[ourth] (month).

On the 1st (day) in Gamul, (corresponding) to the [29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 17th day in the fifth] (solar month).

On the 3rd (day) in (the week of) Jedaiah, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) [on the 17th (day) in the sixth] (solar month).

On the 4th (day) in (the week of) Mijamin, (corresponding) to the 2 [9th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 15th day] in the seventh (solar month).

On the 6th (day) in Shecaniah, (corresponding) to the 3[oth (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 15th (day) in the eighth] (solar month). On the sabbath in (the week of) Bil[gah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 14th (day) in the ninth] (solar month).

[On the 2nd (day) in (the week of) Petahiah, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 13th (day) in the tenth] (solar month).”

The year 2020 was a lunar cycle 2 year and here is my vision of what that calendar looked like:

Dead Sea Scrolls – Lunar Cycle 3 - 2021

The Dead Sea Scrolls reflects the following for lunar cycle three of three.  Since we only have fragments, we do not have the text for each full moon.

“On the 1st (day) in (the week of) Je[shua, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 5th (day) in the seventh] (solar month).

On the 3rd (day) in (the week of) Huppah, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 5th (day) in the eighth (month).

On the 4th (day) in (the week of) Hezir, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 4th (day) in the ninth (solar month).

On the 6th (day) in Jachin, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 3rd (day) in the tenth (solar month).

On the sabbath in (the week of) Jedaiah, (corresponding) to the 29th (day of the lunar month which falls) on the 2nd (day) of the eleventh (solar) month.

On the 2nd (day) [of Mijami]n, (corresponding) to the 30th (day of the lunar month which falls on) the second day in the twelfth (solar) month.”

The Moon as a Tool

The moon can be used as a tool in verifying your calendar is correct since the Dead Sea Scroll Temple Calendar (DSSTC) reflects new moons and full moon for three cycles that repeats as shown above.    The New Year that starts in  March of 2021 is lunar cycle three year which means the first full moon will always occur on Friday the 10th day of the first month on the DSSTC.  The first new moon will always be on Monday the 27th day of the first month.

Reflected below are the months March thru August 2021 showing the moon phases.  The lunar phases below match the three printed calendars I received for this year which are all based on London, England time.  In red I have added the DSSTC (DSS) lunar cycle 3 new moons (DSS New) and full moons (DSS Full) for comparison.  Notice the new moons match lunar cycle three and the full moons are off by one or two days since they do not use the correct calculation.

You can go out on these full moon dates and visually determine which day is the full moon date for your local time.  I know in the past I have thought I observed a full moon and then noticed the calendar said I was off by a day – maybe I was right?

Since they use a different calculation than the DSSTC you would expect differences of a day or two; however the new moon timing proves to be a lunar cycle 3 year.  Therefore the moon can be used to identify which lunar cycle we are in and then we can identify which Wednesday New Year’s Day is on.

I did a comparison of full moon date comparison of the years 2018 to 2040.  In 2018, 2019, and 2020 we did have DSSTC matches dates to Arizona and United Kingdom full moon dates.  However, most dates are off by one date since they use the wrong calculation.  I did include the calculated days between full moons so that you can see the difference.

To see the United Kingdom full moon matches and the full comparison, click here.

After these years above the full moon dates do start getting further apart though.  It is not until 2038 that we could potentially adjust the calendar for about a month of time to make the full moon dates match again.  If the Hebrew full moon that occurs on the 20th day of the first month was aligned to Monday April 19th the lunar cycles would be close to lining up again.  That would mean that the year 2037 would consist of 399 days instead of 364 days which breaks the rules.  This implies the Georgian calendar we currently use will be off another 35 days (I assume it is currently incorrect now).  The Dead Sea Scrolls and Enoch only allow for 12 months of 30 days each plus 4 days for the equinoxes and solstices – no more extra days are allowed.  If you do add more days to the Dead Sea Scroll calendar that would mean you are really adjusting it to accommodate the incorrect Georgian calendar.

Dead Sea Scrolls Temple Calendar - 2019 to 2042

I created Dead Sea Scroll Temple calendars for every year until 2042.  In 2042 New Year’s Day will be on Wednesday, February 19th; therefore the Spring Equinox will be on Tuesday, February 18th.

Conclusion

The Sun and Moon both provide witness that New Year’s Day that is also called the beginning of the Spring season in the Northern Hemisphere begins on Wednesday March 17th in 2021.  Will nature continue to bring spring becoming sooner than our Georgian calendar shows in the near future?  Is this why they say climate change is occurring? Is this what the Gobal Reset 2030 is all about?  Is this all going to happen because our calendar is not correct?  Which calendar will you use to plant your garden and schedule feast days?  Prophecy does show we will lose track of the calendar.

The Sun is the first witness to time and the Moon is the second witness!

Book of Enoch Calendar Prophecy

“And in those days the angel Uriel answered and said to me: ' Behold, I have shown thee everything, Enoch and I have revealed everything to thee that thou shouldst see this sun and this moon, and the leaders of the stars of the heaven and all those who turn them, their tasks and times and departures. And in the days of the sinners the years shall be shortened, And their seed shall be tardy on their lands and fields, And all things on the earth shall alter, And shall not appear in their time: And the rain shall be kept back And the heaven shall withhold (it).  And in those times the fruits of the earth shall be backward, And shall not grow in their time, And the fruits of the trees shall be withheld in their time.  And the moon shall alter her order, And not appear at her time.  [And in those days the sun shall be seen and he shall journey in the evening on the extremity of the great chariot in the west] And shall shine more brightly than accords with the order of light.  And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order (prescribed). And these shall alter their orbits and tasks, And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them.  And the whole order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners, And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them, [And they shall be altered from all their ways], Yea, they shall err and take them to be gods.  And evil shall be multiplied upon them, And punishment shall come upon them So as to destroy all.”' Enoch chapter 80

Book of Jubilees Calendar Prophecy

For there will be those who will assuredly make observations of the moon -how (it) disturbs the seasons and comes in from year to year ten days too soon. For this reason the years will come upon them when they will disturb (the order), and make an abominable (day) the day of testimony, and an unclean day a feast day, and they will confound all the days, the holy with the unclean, and the unclean day with the holy; for they will go wrong as to the months and Sabbaths and feasts and jubilees.” Jubilees 6:36
